„EUROPEAN DREAM” – Report

Plakat wydarzenia - European Dream Raport.

On May 1, 2004, Poland joined the European Union, opening up new opportunities for millions of its citizens. Two decades later, the Emigration Museum in Gdynia presents the results of the research project “European Dream: Post-Accession Emigration 2004-2024,” which delves into the dreams, aspirations, and experiences of those who decided to go abroad to pursue their life plans.

Starting from May 24, 2024, we invite you to the Emigration Museum for an installation summarizing the findings of the “European Dream” report. This multi-faceted presentation consists of infographics, respondent statements, and video recordings. The presentation will be accompanied by a timeline showcasing key events in Poland and the world that have significantly impacted migration movements in Europe.

The full text of the report “European Dream: Post-Accession Emigration 2004-2024” will be available for free as a PDF document on the Emigration Museum’s website starting May 1, 2024. The installation summarizing the report’s findings will be open to visitors from May 24, 2024.
