Launching on July 1 at 7 pm in Gdynia Główna Railway Station
Unusual projects deserve unusual openings. The MIGRATIONS | CREATIONS vernissage will take place on Monday July 1, 7 pm, in Gdynia Główna Railway Station. Using the special character of the exposition and its function in the public space of Gdynia-Sopot-Gdańsk SKM route, the exposition’s curator, Mrs. Justyna Wicenty, will take the spectators on an uncommon journey through the artistic interventions forming the project. Special invitees will also take part in the mobile tour through the works of art – their creators, featuring Julia Wójcik, the laureate of Polityka magazine’s Passport, a street art star Sławomir Czajkowski, as well as other established artists – Ludomir Franczak and Iwona Zając.
The evening will be inaugurated by Iwona Zając, who will be finishing the work on her mural among spectators on the Constitution Square in front of the Gdynia Główna Railway Station. After an introduction presented by the invited guests and the organizers, we will proceed to appreciate all the works collected in the suburban and long distance station. Subsequently, we will embark on a cultural safari along the main transportation artery of the Tricity. The stops of the tour will take us all the way to the Gdańsk Główny Railway Station, where our journey will conclude, but another one will start – that of the Tricity audience, which on the course of the next two weeks will have a chance to touch the subject of migration in its best, artistic dimension.
Both the vernissage and the expositions are open to the public free of charge. Due to the limited amount of people that can participate in the curator’s tour, we have prepared special invitations. Two of them will be up for grabs on our Facebook profile each day. We encourage you to participate in this event!
