On November 18-19, 2023, we invite you to the opening of the children’s path at the permanent exhibition at the Emigration Museum in Gdynia. For two days, from 11:00 to 15:00, a variety of family attractions, creative workshops, and animations await all visitors, especially the youngest ones. Admission to the events is free.
For whom?
In response to the needs of the youngest generation of visitors, the Emigration Museum in Gdynia has prepared a special children’s path, mainly dedicated to families with children aged 6-10. The children’s path is a new, interactive way to explore the museum’s permanent exhibition. Thanks to it, the youngest visitors will be able to better understand the challenging emigration themes developed at various stages of the exhibition.
What is the children’s path?
The children’s path includes mysterious suitcases, drawers with surprises, colorful cushions, interactive boards, and many historical curiosities. Through multisensory, engaging solutions that involve different senses, we help children immerse themselves in the extraordinary story of the journey, its purpose, and the search for shelter.
Krab Kłębek (Yarn Ball Crab)
On the path, children will be accompanied by the woolly-clawed Krab Kłębek – a new inhabitant of the Emigration Museum’s permanent exhibition, an immigrant from the seas of China who arrived in Gdynia in the ballast waters of one of the ships. Additionally, the story of Krab Kłębek will be presented by the well-known and beloved television specialist in fascinating animal stories.
Join us for the opening weekend of the children’s path at the Emigration Museum in Gdynia!
