The Museum of Emigration in Gdynia cordially invites you to an extraordinary „Silent Disco: Retro Party” in the style of the 1920s. Let’s transport ourselves to the era of swing and blues! Join us on the night of October 20th, in a Friday night inspired by emigration and cultural encounters!
Why should you be here? It’s a unique opportunity to discover the magic of blues and swing as music and dance. Dance is part of our identity, and these dance styles originate from various cultures and histories. Together with the teachers from Harlem Beats Studio, we will explore the roots of blues and swing and learn to dance solo or in pairs. Join us on this special journey through the history of dance and music, shaped at the intersection of different cultures and still inspiring many artists today.
It will be an unforgettable night full of music, dance, and meetings! Start the evening with an introductory dance lesson prepared by the Harlem Beats dance school. We will talk about the genesis of blues and swing. You will hear timeless swing and blues hits at various tempos, ensuring there’s something for everyone! Families are welcome!

About the organizers
Harlem Beats Studio is a school of swing and blues dances and a community of Gdynia dancers, founded by Konrad Pruśniewski and Agnieszka Pluwak. They have extensive experience in organizing dance events and festivals, and their passion for blues and swing is incredibly inspiring. Join us and feel the spirit of these extraordinary dances!
